Viña Santa Rita
“Medalla Real Special Reserve”
Maipo Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
. . . .
. 14.99
91/100 - Wine Spectator. “Broad-shouldered, with lots of tobacco,
currant paste and loam notes backed by a muscular structure. The
dark, dense finish shows hints of cedar and roasted vanilla. Has lots of
Pauillac-like grip. A terrific value. Drink now through 2014.” (Chile)

Robert Keenan
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
. . . .
. 41.99
92/100 - Wine Advocate. “Classic aromas of cedar, black currants,
licorice, graphite, and spicy oak emerge from the full-bodied, powerful,
opulent, opaque purple-colored 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon.
This concentrated, rich, impressively-endowed Cabernet is a steal
for the price. Moreover, it should drink well for 15 or more years.”

Darioush
“Signature”
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
. . . .
. 69.99
93/100 - Connoisseurs’ Guide. “Once again, Darioush races to the top
of the listings with a big, rich, hedonistically over achieving Cabernet,
but unlike last year’s 3 star winner, this one is somewhat tighter and
age-demanding than its predecessor. It is in the nature of the 2005
vintage that it seems to produce somewhat less lush, plush wines,
and there are those who will applaud and those who will miss the
genuine juiciness of Darioush’s 2004. Because this wine seems to
have a foot in two camps, we see more to like in the 2004, but there
is no reason not to like this one as well.” (California)
